TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A body found in a Tucson apartment has been identified in a homicide case, police said Thursday.
They said 34-year-old Angel Essono was found dead in his midtown apartment Tuesday evening.
That was after a neighbor called police for a welfare check because Essono had not been seen or heard from in some time.
Police said detectives went into Essono’s apartment where they found him dead on the floor with clear signs of trauma.
Authorities didn’t immediately disclose Essono’s cause of death.
Police said aggravated assault and homicide units are investigating the case.
