BEMIDJI, Minn. (AP) - A third person has been charged in a Beltrami County homicide and arson case.

Devin Belcourt, 32, of Bagley, was arrested in Naytahwaush Tuesday in connection with an incident Sunday in which a man was found dead inside a burning home near Bemidji and another man was found with gunshot wounds.

KFGO reports Belcourt is charged with charged with second-degree intentional murder, arson, and burglary with a dangerous weapon and explosive. Two other suspects were arrested earlier this week in Minot, including Travis Gunning, 37, of Clearbrook, and Elizabeth Lockman, 30, of Bemidji.

An amended complaint says Gunning told investigators he saw Belcourt fatally shoot the first victim and that they then burned down the home in order to conceal the slaying. The second victim was injured after encountering the suspects and traded gunfire with them.

Gunning said intended to go to the victims’ home and steal drugs, a safe and money, according to the complaint.

Neither of the victims has been identified. It was not immediately clear if the defendants have hired attorneys to speak on their behalf.
