TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -
Tucson police have arrested a 36-year-old woman in the death of a man who was found dead in his apartment earlier this week.
Police say Jessica Siegfried faces charges of robbery and first-degree murder in the killing of Angel Essono. Essono, 34, was found dead in his midtown apartment Tuesday evening after police were called for a welfare check because he hadn’t been seen or heard from in some time. Essono had clear signs of trauma.
Police executing a search warrant at Siegfried’s home discovered evidence that placed her at the scene of the crime.
Siegfried is being held at Pima County Jail. It’s unclear whether she has an attorney who can comment on her behalf.
