CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A federal judge has sentenced a New Hampshire man to 10 years in prison for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, and possessing firearms.

According to court documents and statements, the drugs were seized from James Nesbitt during a vehicle stop and during a search of his hotel room in Ossipee in November 2018. Nesbitt, 44, was arrested that December at his home in Rochester, where fentanyl, firearms and ammunition were seized.

Nesbitt previously pleaded guilty in March. One co-conspirator was sentenced to five years in prison and the another awaits sentencing.

“James is a family man, he intends to do his time, and move on and focus on being a productive member of society and on being a better role model for his family,” Matthew Stachowske, Nesbitt’s attorney, said Monday.
