PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) - A toddler was shot and a woman was grazed by a bullet as they rode in a car in Portsmouth, police said.
Police said someone in another car shot at them just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday in Portsmouth’s Mount Hermon neighborhood. They said in a news release that a 21-month-old girl was shot in her upper body, but her injury is “no longer life-threatening.” A 23-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet, but declined treatment, police said.
Police are still trying to identify the driver of a silver, four-door vehicle with 30-day temporary tags.
