ALFRED, Maine (AP) - Two young men were killed when a truck crashed into a tree and burst into flames, officials said.

Jacob Dupuis, 20, of Gorham, and Henry O’Neill, 19, of Standish, were trapped in the burning truck and were unable to escape on Thursday afternoon, said York County Sheriff William L. King Jr.

The commercial truck that the victims were riding in was owned by Carter Design Group, officials said.



Maine State Police and the York County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the cause of the crash.
