ST. LOUIS (AP) - Authorities are investigating the cause of a St. Louis apartment fire that sent three people to the hospital, including a firefighter.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that some people also were rescued from balconies after the fire started Friday, filling a second-story hallway with black smoke. The building had 32 occupied apartments.
Capt. Garon Mosby that the injured firefighter was in serious but stable condition. Also hospitalized was a man found unresponsive in a hallway outside the apartment that caught fire.
