MOHAVE VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - A Mohave Valley man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and their infant child, authorities said.
Mohave County Sheriff’s officials said 34-year-old Nathan Lee Andrews is jailed on suspicion of threatening/intimidating, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault on a minor, kidnapping and child abuse.
Sheriff’s deputies said they were called to the couple’s residence Sunday morning about a domestic violence incident in progress.
Andrews’ girlfriend alleged she had been assaulted and held against her will by him.
The woman alleged Andrews punched her in the head, grabbed a knife from the kitchen and threatened to kill the woman and the infant.
Andrews was arrested and booked into the county jail.
It was unclear Monday if he had a lawyer yet who could speak on his behalf about the case.
