ATLANTA (AP) - A teenage girl who was among three people shot when gunfire broke out Saturday night at an Atlanta shopping plaza has died of her injuries.
Police said shots were fired around 9:50 p.m. News outlets reported that it happened at a Waffle House at the Glenwood Park shopping plaza. “Preliminary investigation found that prior to the shooting a group of juveniles were fighting at the location,” police said Sunday, stressing that the investigation was continuing. “After the fight other people, including adults, came to the location and the confrontation continued, eventually leading to gunfire.”
Officials said two other people wounded in the incident are in stable condition but they did not give other details. The girl who died was 15 years old.
