Fraud to blame, not GOP

OPINION:

In “Time for new leadership at the RNC after three straight failed elections” (Web, Dec. 8), Charles Hurt concludes that Republicans failed to do their one job. Actually, the GOP did just what they were expected to do and the Democrats did just what they always do.

Analyzing results as though they were reached honestly (when anyone paying attention can see that they were not) helps normalize election fraud. Does anyone really think residents of the major U.S. cities suffering some of the worst crime rates in history would continue to elect the very people doing nothing about it? Does anyone truly believe that in the 35 or 40 years the same politicians have been reelected, no new candidates had winning platforms? Of course not. These are preposterous, statistical improbabilities in the absence of manipulation or fraud.

If The Washington Times were a serious news organization, it would dig for facts before simply reporting the standard narrative. Why not, for instance, assign someone to investigate claims in Kari Lake’s lawsuit, or if you think they have no merit, report on that? Why not report on the counterfeit ballots discovered in the Arizona forensic audit? Or the voters getting added to the rolls just before elections, only to be removed immediately afterward? Or the mules trafficking ballots, or the incredibly obvious corruption of the Justice Department?

We are losing our republic, and The Washington Times is not helping to save it. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “A time comes when silence is betrayal.” We’ve reached that point.
