Am I the only one who felt like the month of June went on forever while we were supposed to celebrate gay pride?

Did drag performances in front of children endear me and others to the movement?

Did live theater mocking Jesus persuade anyone — especially Christians who find this conduct abhorrent and insulting — to support the cause? Did LGBTQ night at Major League Baseball games win new sports fans?

We are blessed to live in a country that enjoys great freedoms ensured by the Constitution.

I think I speak for many when I say that I don’t care if a man wants to pretend to be a woman, or a woman wants to pretend to be a man. This is a free country.

What I (and I suspect others) will not tolerate is the insistence that I applaud this lifestyle. Nor will I accept the in-your-face behavior that appears to be the tactic of this distasteful movement.

Reeking with narcissism, what we witnessed last month was obscenity, profanity, sacrilege and smut. This is not the way to win people over to a cause.

If anything, it only hardens the attitudes of those who have antipathy toward this lifestyle and jeopardizes the tolerance of those who say, live and let live.
