With roughly 100 days until the midterms, the battle for control of Congress is coming into focus. Tim Constantine and David Bozell break down the district-by-district factors — from data centers to gas prices to the Iran conflict — that could decide the House and Senate.
Every historical marker suggests that there should be a blue tidal wave, particularly in the House. But I look at the map, I’m thinking, okay, where am I going to pick up some of these seats if I’m a Democrat? We’re a 50-50 country. We are ruby red in these districts, and we are royal blue in these districts. And there’s very few spots that are up for grabs. Not a lot of purple. And Republicans only have to win a few of them, depending on what map you want to look at. Republicans don’t have to win a ton of these so-called toss-up seats. So I still think the House is 50-50.
