OPINION:
Last Sunday, Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) national co-chair Megan Romer was on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream to discuss the various and absurd social, legal and cultural changes she and her group advocate.
During her appearance, Ms. Romer averred that the United States Senate protects powerful, wealthy, capitalist interests.
“The Senate was part of the system that was made to make sure that the people didn’t have too much of a say,” she told Ms. Bream.
This is absolute nonsense. The Senate serves to counterbalance the tyranny of the majority in both American society and the House of Representatives.=
Previously on Fox News, the DSA’s other national co-chair, Gustavo Gordillo, asserted that his parents had escaped Peru’s capitalism to become a part of America’s capitalism. Say what?
Ms. Romer and Mr. Gordillo are communists, and they comport themselves like empty-headed juveniles.
The DSA is dangerous. The political policies that it espouses are, alarmingly, gaining traction among youthful elements of the U.S. Should this trend continue, what are today considered to be insane DSA positions will be the reality of America’s tomorrow.
