The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a Silver Spring, Maryland, father and daughter charged with trying to murder a relative living with them.

William Andrew Dunn, 54, and Brittany Elaine Dunn, 24, were arrested by the marshals on Thursday in Rockville on charges of attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault, the Montgomery County Police Department said in a release.

The police said that on June 4 the father-daughter pair stabbed the victim in the upper chest. The 67-year-old man was hospitalized after the attack, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue radio audio obtained by Bethesda magazine.

The victim told investigators that Mr. Dunn put him in a chokehold and that he saw that Ms. Dunn was wearing disposable gloves and holding a knife before briefly passing out.

The victim then said that when he woke up, a knife was in his neck, according to court documents cited by Washington’s WUSA.

The police did not name the victim, but he was identified to investigators as the brother of Mr. Dunn, according to Bethesda magazine.

The victim owns the home where the alleged stabbing occurred, with the suspects living there for three years, according to the court documents.

The suspects are being held without bond, and both are due in court on July 10 for a preliminary hearing, according to court records.
