OPINION:
The Washington Times’ Tim Constantine and ForAmerica’s David Bozell react to Vice President J.D. Vance’s appearance on The View, arguing that the much-anticipated confrontation turned out to be far more subdued than expected.
They discuss the hosts’ past criticism of Vance, his responses on issues like black history, immigration and Epstein, and whether his book tour doubles as an early introduction to voters ahead of a possible future presidential run.
You expected some fireworks. The problem with The View is they had spent an inordinate amount of time trying to paint J.D. Vance as this caricature — they called him a sociopathic liar. They accused him of treason. I mean, they accused him and Elon Musk of working behind the scenes to get rid of President Trump. I mean, they spent a whole episode on that topic months ago. Their conversation is seldom tethered to the truth.
