President Trump is expected to take the unusual step of holding a Cabinet meeting at Camp David on Wednesday, The Washington Times has confirmed.

A White House official confirmed the switch in locations from the White House to the presidential retreat in rural Maryland, but stressed that plans could change in the event of bad weather.

Presidents typically travel to Camp David via helicopter, but rain is expected in Washington on Wednesday, which could result in the plans being nixed.

All Cabinet officials are expected to attend the meeting, including Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who is leaving her position next month. Ms. Gabbard resigned last week, citing her husband’s battle with cancer.

Mr. Trump’s last visit to Camp David was in June 2025, when he convened his foreign policy team to discuss the Iranian nuclear threat and war in Gaza.

The meeting on Wednesday will focus on the war in Iran but is also expected to touch on the economy and the administration’s crackdown on fraud.

U.S. forces on Monday launched “self-defense” strikes on Iran, potentially complicating Mr. Trump’s negotiations to end the war that began on Feb. 28. In a statement, U.S. Central Command said the strikes occurred in southern Iran to “protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces.”

Targets included missile-launch sites and Iranian boats attempting to set mines, the statement said.

The strikes occurred after a weekend of negotiations between the Trump administration and the Iranian regime to end the war. A fragile ceasefire took hold on April 8, though it has been interrupted sporadically by exchanges of fire.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned the latest attacks, saying it would leave “no act of hostility unanswered.”

Camp David is a presidential retreat in Thurmont, Maryland, in the Catoctin Mountain Park. It has been used by every president since Franklin D. Roosevelt.
