Matthew Perry’s assistant is to be sentenced Wednesday in Los Angeles for administering the dose of ketamine that killed the “Friends” actor in 2023, news outlets report.

Kenneth Iwamasa pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine resulting in death in August 2024 and faces up to 15 years in prison.

Iwamasa is the last of the five defendants to be sentenced in Perry’s death, concluding a 2½-year investigation. The ketamine dealer in the case, Jasveen Sangha — nicknamed “the Ketamine Queen” — received the longest sentence, 15 years.

The actor was legally taking ketamine for depression. He was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Oct. 28, 2023.

Perry wanted more ketamine than his doctor would legally provide, so Iwamasa sourced it illegally from a doctor who taught him how to inject it and purchased the rest from a street dealer he knew through an acquaintance.

Iwamasa injected Perry with ketamine six to eight times a day.

Prosecutors said Iwamasa witnessed Perry lose consciousness, among other severe reactions, in the weeks before his death yet continued administering the drug.
