Rock, rap, R&B and country music will be represented during the celebration for America’s 250th birthday on the National Mall that kicks off next month.

Country artist Martina McBride, rapper Vanilla Ice and pop performer Milli Vanilli are among the musical acts announced Wednesday by Freedom 250, the public-private partnership group coordinating events in Washington.

Dubbed the Great American State Fair, the celebration will run from June 25 to July 10, with ticketed concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. All events are free but require advance registration.

The fair kicks off June 25 with Ms. McBride, followed by a ’90s-themed night on June 26 featuring electronic dance group C+C Music Factory, Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli and rapper Young MC.

The Commodores and Morris Day and The Time will bring funk and R&B to the stage on June 27. Flo Rida will perform his club hits on July 2.

Bret Michaels, frontman of hair band Poison, is set to close out the performances on July 3, just ahead of Independence Day.

In addition, the fair will feature performances by military ensembles, including the U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, the Airmen of Note Jazz Ensemble, and the Army Downrange Rock band.

The National Mall will transform into a celebration featuring the culture of all 50 states, territories, and federal agencies, ranging from roping with Wyoming cowboys to Chamoru dancers from Guam.
