GERMANTOWN, Md. | Authorities say a man has been struck by a train in Montgomery County.

County fire department spokesman Capt. Oscar Garcia says crews were called just before 5 p.m. Wednesday. Garcia says they are at Bent Willow Circle in Germantown and working to rescue the man.

He says the man is conscious and has some fractures.

Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari says the train was traveling from Washington to Chicago. Magliari says the man had been trespassing on the tracks owned by CSX. He says the train will be delayed until authorities clear the area.
