Prince George’s woman, 92, found slain

Prince George's County police said Tuesday are investigating the slaying of 92-year-old District Heights woman inside her home.

Police were called to the home, in the 2900 block of East Avenue, following a call from a relative who said the unidentified woman had not been seen for several days. She was found dead Tuesday inside her home with "trauma to the body," said county police spokesman Cpl. Clinton Copeland.

A relative called police Monday evening asking officers to check on the woman's welfare after a neighbor contacted the relative and said the woman had not been seen in several days, Cpl. Copeland said.
Police had no further information on the slaying Tuesday morning.
