KNIGHT: Purple politics color Colorado Rockies

Ski-country dwellers denounce Tea Party while embracing its values

The Tea Party has many adherents in Colorado, a state with slightly more than 5 million people growing quickly despite the late John Denver’s wish to keep it for the wildlife and dwellers of Starwood in Aspen.

Colorado is a mixed bag, a work in progress like the rest of America. Color it purple, for the time being, while the teapot simmers and liberals cringe.
