Outlook: Florida State leads series 14-2 and won last year’s meeting 34-14 in Charlottesville. The Cavaliers improbably remain in the Coastal Division title race and bring a three-game winning streak into their visit to Florida State. The Seminoles, meanwhile, have rattled off five consecutive victories in the conference since a forgettable start and have crept back into the national rankings. Cavaliers tailback Perry Jones needs 144 yards to become the first Virginia rusher with 1,000 yards since Alvin Pearman in 2004 and only the 14th in school history. He’ll be hard-pressed to get there against a Florida State defense ranked fourth nationally against the run.
