D.C. police are investigating two shootings and two stabbings that occurred Thursday evening and Friday morning.
The only fatal attack occurred around 6:25 p.m. Thursday in a neighborhood near the Fort Totten Metro station. Francisco Orlando Rivas, 19, of Hyattsville died after he was shot in the head while in the area of 10th and Gallatin streets in Northeast, Metropolitan Police Department officials said.
Police had no information on any possible suspect.
The second shooting of the night happened around 10:30 p.m. near Trinity and Catholic universities. A man was shot in the arm in the 200 block of Michigan Avenue Northeast. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, MPD spokeswoman Officer Tisha Gant said.
In an incident that occurred Friday morning, police are looking for a woman they say stabbed a person in the arm. The attack happened around 10 a.m. in the 100 block of 36th Street Northeast. The woman was seen leaving the area in a burgundy Hyundai, Officer Gant said.
The other non-fatal stabbing was reported around 6:45 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of 15th Street Southeast. A man was stabbed and taken to the hospital. Police had no addition information on his condition.
