Crews are cleaning up in the Washington area after an overnight storm.
The D.C. Department of Transportation says crews were working Saturday to remove downed trees, branches and debris. The agency says that it had already received more than 100 tree-related service requests. The agency says the worst damage is reported in wards 4 and 5.
In addition, Pepco said that as of about noon Saturday more than 16,000 customers in the D.C. area are without power. That includes approximately 8,100 customers in Prince George's County and 7,300 customers in the District.
