Appalachian State rallies past Virginia in regional

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Daniel Kassouf singled in two runs in a five-run second inning, and Appalachian State held on to beat Virginia 6-5 on Sunday, moving the Mountaineers into the Charlottesville Regional championship. Virginia (39-18-1) moved into a Sunday night elimination game against Oklahoma.
