Thousands are gathering at Cowboys Stadium for the Monday afternoon public memorial service for former Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle, killed at a Texas shooting range on Feb. 2.
Killed with Mr. Kyle was his friend Chad Littlefield. The suspect, Iraq War veteran Eddie Ray Routh, is being held in jail on a $3 million bond, according to The Associated Press.
Mr. Kyle is going to be buried at Texas State Cemetery in Austin, following a 200-mile-long funeral procession that will start near Dallas on Tuesday, AP says.
All three men were together at the shooting range, located about 50 miles outside Fort Worth, when Mr. Routh reportedly shot Mr. Kyle and Mr. Littlefield at close range.
