PHOENIX (AP) - Former Arizona Secretary of State Betsey Bayless will lead the transition team for incoming Secretary of State Michele Reagan.
Bayless says in a statement sent by Reagan’s campaign that she’s supported her fellow Republican for years and wants to help her transition from the Legislature to the executive branch.
Bayless says she’ll conduct a statewide search for qualified staff that can help Reagan when she takes office in January.
Bayless served as secretary of state from 1997 through 2003.
Reagan is currently a state senator. She beat Democrat Terry Goddard in last week’s election.
