NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame will honor Nick Marable, David Helton and Dacotah Faught as its athletes of the year during its June 6 induction ceremony.
Marable, a wrestler, will be recognized as male professional athlete of the year. Helton, a linebacker who just completed his college career at Duke, is male amateur athlete of the year. Faught, a member of the UT Martin rifle team, is female amateur athlete of the year.
The Hall of Fame also will honor the Vanderbilt and Cumberland baseball teams, Tennessee’s tennis doubles team of Mikelis Libietis and Hunter Reese, the UT Martin men’s rodeo team and the Walters State golf team as amateur teams of the year.
