HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) - A financial services company is opening a call center and is promising to create 1,500 jobs in southwest Ohio.
The Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News (https://bit.ly/1NehL90 ) reports that Barclaycard US confirmed Monday that it’s opening the center at Vora Technology Park in Hamilton.
Mayor Patrick Moeller says the company will have a profound impact on the area’s economy.
Employees of the center will provide customer service support for card members who participate in credit card programs offered by the payments business.
The company expects to add up to 250 new employees next year and will employ up to 1,500 people once it’s fully operational in the coming years.
