JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville University has raised $100 million in a thee-year-old fundraising effort.
The Florida Times-Union (https://bit.ly/1OkKXwO ) reports President Tim Cost announced in a news release Monday the school was able to reach the $100 million mark after a $2.5 million donation from the Bisk Family Foundation.
The gift from the Bisk family will go toward the university’s new online learning center - now called the Nathan M. Bisk Center for Online Learning.
The center is just one of several initiatives funded through the three-year-old fundraising campaign knowns as ASPIRE. The campaign aims to enhance the school’s research, academics, scholarships and campus life. The university also hopes to raise a total of $120 million for the campaign, with the largest chunks planned for scholarships and academic efforts.
