FREEPORT, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a Long Island man stabbed his father to death during an argument that turned violent.

Twenty-four-year-old Jordan Johnson pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a murder charge in connection with the death of his 55-year-old father Russell Johnson.

Police say the son was arguing with his father and used an “undetermined” weapon to stab him multiple times. The elder Johnson’s body was found in their Freeport home around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.



Neighbors tell Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1mpg7Xd ) Russell Johnson was a quiet, hard-working neighbor who was dedicated to caring for his son.

Jordan Johnson was held without bail after his after his arraignment Wednesday. His attorney did not immediately return a call for comment.
