DU QUOIN, Ill. (AP) - Country music artist Jamey Johnson will perform at the Du Quoin State Fair this summer.

The Nashville-based musician and U.S. Marine Corps. veteran will appear on the grandstand stage on Sept. 2.

The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter is known for songs like “In Color,” ’’The Dollar” and “High Cost of Living.”



The fair also announced that the annual Summerland Tour will make a stop in Du Quoin on Sept. 5. That concert will feature performances by Sugar Ray, Everlast, Lit and Sponge.

A date for ticket sales will be announced later.

The fair runs from Aug. 26 to Sept. 5.
