QUOTABLE
“We know what is at stake but I don’t feel us playing with a sense of urgency. We had an opportunity to jump up to [the fourth playoff seed] but I don’t think we understand the importance of home-court advantage throughout the first round.”
— WIZARDS FORWARD ANTAWN JAMISON
SEEN AND HEARD
ESPN TO CARRY WIZARDS: The NBA today announced the Wizards’ game April13 against the Chicago Bulls at MCI Center has been picked up by ESPN at 8 p.m.
That’s going to be a big week for the Wizards, who will have their game against Cleveland two nights later — also at MCI Center — televised at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
That brings the Wizards’ number of nationally televised games this season to three. The Wizards’ 107-96 victory over Seattle on Jan.6 at MCI Center was shown on TNT.
PEELER ICED: To make room for Jamison on the active roster, the Wizards placed reserve guard Anthony Peeler on the injured list.
Peeler (right knee tendinitis) hasn’t appeared in a game since he played 15 minutes against Golden State on March 4.
