… Well, maybe not that drastic, but yesterday’s yes-you-can-run-Windows-on-an-Intel-based-Mac news did shake things up a bit. As of Thursday morning, aggregation service Google News counted nearly 1,093 news items about the move. Apple’s stock (in which I am not an investor) shot up 10 percent yesterday. And today sees The Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg — who seems to be given advance copies of just about every new software on this planet — is among those rushing a review of Windows-on-a-Mac-using-Boot-Camp into print.

If all goes well, you’ll see something similar — but perhaps different — in my Tuesday “On Computers” column in The Washington Times. But look around at the media reaction — there are more “instant” reviews than Mr. Mossberg’s out there — and see if you don’t agree with me: This is epochal, or at least the media want us to believe it is.
