Nationals 10, Orioles 6

VIERA, Fla. — Space Coast Stadium looked like a launching pad yesterday. Matt LeCroy, Marlon Anderson and Ryan Zimmerman hit home runs, and the Nationals won their first spring training game of the season. Starter Jon Rauch pitched well in his spring training debut, allowing two runs — both solo home runs on just two hits in three innings of work.

Right-hander Steve Watkins came on for Rauch and struck out four of the first six batters he faced. He didn’t allow a hit and struck out five Orioles in three innings. Watkins atoned for his rough spring debut against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday, when he gave up two runs on four hits in two innings.
