Case study

Don’t get it twisted: Alt-country chanteuse Neko Case may have earned the title “honorary Canadian” by charming her way onto the music scene as a vocalist for Vancouver’s New Pornographers, but she was born in Alexandria and has maintained melodic and thematic ties to this area with 1997’s “The Virginian” and other albums. Tonight, she’ll sing for a sold-out crowd at the 9:30 Club (815 V St. NW). www.930.com.
