Last night at Verizon Center:

6-0 Record for Villanova all time at MCI/Verizon Center.

Villanova guard Scottie Reynolds had about 230 family members and friends sitting in the arena’s upper section.

Reynolds, who starred at Herndon High School in Fairfax County, originally signed with Oklahoma but rescinded his letter of intent when former Sooners coach Kelvin Sampson accepted the Indiana job. Georgetown was always in the mix for Reynolds’ services, but in late May, Reynolds chose Villanova.

Reynolds is coming off his best performance as a collegian Saturday, when he scored a career-high 25 points against DePaul. Reynolds made seven of 11 3-pointers against the Blue Demons.

As a senior at Herndon, he averaged 28.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists a game in leading Herndon to a 26-4 record and a trip to the Virginia Class AAA championship game.
