To make an already intriguing exhibit even more arresting, the team behind the “Transform/Nation: Contemporary Art of Iran and its Diaspora” show at Arlington’s Ellipse Arts Center (4350 N. Fairfax Drive) is hosting a panel discussion tonight at 7 titled “The Power of a Cliche: Exhibiting Iran.” Guest speakers include curator Leyla Pope, ArteEast editor Maymanah Farhat and artist Haleh Anavari. Entrance to both the show and lecture is free. Call 703/228-7710 or visit www.arlingtonarts.org.
