The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, as mandated by Congress in the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, was implemented to strengthen our border security.

This means that Americans traveling to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and countries in the Caribbean will need a passport to re-enter the U.S. by air after Sept. 30. This is just great. We are obligated to deal with our massive bureaucracy if we want to pop over to Canada for a few days, but our illegal-alien friends have no such restrictions.

They can come and go as they please, with the approval of lawmakers all too eager to spend taxpayer money on day-laborer centers.

Sorry about the hate speech there, as hate is defined by those who support illegal aliens. You are not allowed to point out the hypocrisies of those who wave the flags of the countries they have fled. That is cultural pride. The sophisticated among us take great pleasure in celebrating their pride days with them.

D.C. Council member Harry Thomas Jr. wants to build a day-laborer center near the Home Depot on Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast. This would allow the day laborers to hang out in comfort instead of under the baking sun along the entranceway to Home Depot. It also would grant the day laborers a place to do their bodily business in the privacy of a bathroom that has genuine plumbing, as opposed to doing their business on the lawns of nearby homes.

Mr. Thomas undoubtedly would equip the center with Spanish-language materials and a Spanish-speaking staff to eliminate any potential confusion. And no one ever would have the poor taste to inquire about the legal status of the day laborers.

Mr. Thomas is emulating the spineless lawmakers of Latin Montgomery County. A passport? A visa? How Neanderthal of you to expect illegal aliens to follow the same laws as Americans.

Soon we will need a passport to visit neighboring countries, because our lawmakers believe this will make us safer from terrorists. And, of course, this will make us about as safe as the perverts who do the screening at our airports.

The perverts make you take off your shoes before they pat your body parts with uncommon glee and pronounce you free to go. This sexual abuse serves no useful function because the perverts only fondle those who look harmless, such as the blue-haired biddy from Iowa.

They never would pat the body part of a person wearing a burqa, because that would be racial profiling, and that is not who we are as a people. That is one reason why the burqa eventually will become the favored travel garment of men and women in this country. You merely slip into a burqa before going to the airport and you will not be subjected to a traumatizing experience by one of the perverts.

Anyway, the peace-loving, virgin-seeking, bomb-wearing followers of Osama bin Laden probably have heard of our two-tiered system as it relates to our borders. If you are an American, you are required to follow the laws of our nation. Or else. If you are an illegal alien, Mr. Thomas will build you a day-laborer center, with no questions asked. And if you are an illegal alien from the Middle East, Mr. Thomas will install a foot-washing basin in the center.

We respect other people”s customs and cultures, because one country is no better than the other, as you can tell from all the millions leaving our shores to settle in, oh, Saudi Arabia.

This is not to raise the subject of Alec Baldwin, a peace-loving sort who has been promising to leave the country since 2000 but apparently is too busy fighting his ex-wife and cussing out his daughter over the telephone.

And still our pro-illegal alien lawmakers think we have been duped by the truth serum of Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Chris Core and Dennis Miller.
