Last night at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J.:

BY THE NUMBERS

3:58 Remaining when Georgetown junior Roy Hibbert was whistled for his fifth foul reaching around a screen and jumping out on Vanderbilt’s Derrick Byars. Vanderbilt was leading by one point at the time, but Byars parlayed the three free throws into a 60-57 lead.

100 Consecutive starts for Georgetown juniors Jeff Green and Jonathan Wallace, who have started every game since John Thompson III arrived on the Hilltop. Thompson’s record through his first 100 games is 71-29. Though his father took over an even more decrepit program than the one Thompson III inherited from Craig Esherick, the elder Thompson’s record in his first 100 games was 59-41.
