Hugh is sexiest man

Actor Hugh Jackman, 40, has been named People magazine’s 2008 Sexiest Man Alive, the Detroit Free Press reports.

The star of the epic film “Australia,” hitting big screens stateside on Wednesday, tops the list that derails 2007 glamour boy Matt Damon and features “129 smokin’ hot guys.”

First runner-up is James Bond superstar Daniel Craig, with Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”), Zac Efron (“High School Musical 3”) and Robert Buckley (“Lipstick Jungle”) rounding out the top five.

The issue lands on newsstands Friday.

Suri tops hot tots

Not to be outdone, small fry have their own list of hotties - and Suri Cruise is the most popular kid on the playground.

The 2-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes tops Forbes.com’s second annual list of “Hollywood’s 10 Hottest Tots,” Associated Press reports.

Forbes.com, which ranked celebrity children 5 and younger based on media attention and their parents’ popularity, says Suri - known for her stylish outfits and haircut - popped up in more news articles and blogs than her peers.

Three of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six children made the list: Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 2, is in second place after coming in first last year; Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 3, is in third place; and Pax Jolie-Pitt, 4, is fourth on the list.

“Though not quite the tabloid stars his sisters Zahara and Shiloh are, his recognizable mug and A-list parents give him space in the top five,” Forbes.com said of Pax.

Rounding out the top 10: Sam Alexis Woods, daughter of Tiger Woods and his wife, Elin Nordegren; Cruz Beckham, son of David and Victoria Beckham; Matilda Rose Ledger, daughter of Michelle Williams and the late Heath Ledger; David Banda, son of Madonna and Guy Ritchie; Sean Preston Federline, son of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline; and Sam Sheen, daughter of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen.

Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon is gearing up for a lawsuit after nude photos of her popped up online, the New York Daily News reports.

“It’s not a scenario where she purposedly leaked the photos for attention,” Miss Bailon’s representative Jonathan Jaxson told the Daily News. “We’re pursuing legal action.”

A new national tour of “Dreamgirls” will kick off a year from now at Harlem’s Apollo Theater, where the musical’s opening scene takes place.

The revival, directed and choreographed by Bobby Longbottom, will premiere in November 2009 at the legendary theater, where many great entertainers, including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis Jr. and James Brown first won acclaim.

According to AP, the show’s producers will hold open auditions Saturday at the theater to cast the three Dreams, a female singing group that is the focus of the musical.

The original “Dreamgirls” opened on Broadway in 1981 and ran until 1985. The production earned six Tony Awards, including prizes for two of its stars, Jennifer Holliday and Cleavant Derricks.
