Green and Glover has learned that James Haven, the older brother of actress Angelina Jolie and son of actor Jon Voight, is seriously pondering a run for public office.

Mr. Haven shared the news when we chatted him up during the 65th annual Radio and Television Correspondents Association Dinner on Friday night, where he was a guest of Fox News.

He told us that his current occupation is “philanthropist” and that if he were to run for office, he would do so “from Nevada or California” as an “independent.”

The thirtysomething Mr. Haven, who bears a striking resemblance to his little sis, said he had no comment on the political statements of his conservative father. However, he said people should not necessarily assume that he and his sister subscribe to the usual Hollywood brand of liberalism.

Oscar watchers may recall that Mr. Haven tumbled into the spotlight at the 72nd annual Academy Awards in 2000 when he and Miss Jolie shared a passionate kiss, thought by many to be a little too intense for siblings.

At the ceremony, where Miss Jolie clinched the best supporting actress Oscar for her role in “Girl, Interrupted,” the star proclaimed “I am so in love with my brother right now.”

Mr. Haven and Miss Jolie have emphatically denied having an incestuous relationship, insisting that their bond is based on familial love.

While we’re on the subject of family ties, it’s also been reported that Miss Jolie’s daughter Shiloh was named for Mr. Haven — whose nickname is Shiloh.

Guess Who?

A quiet, middle class neighborhood in Falls Church was graced with star presence this weekend, but the star in question would prefer simply to be known as an environmentalist.

Ed Begley Jr., known best for his roles on NBC’s “St. Elsewhere” and in the recent HBO film “Recount” (plus the upcoming Woody Allen flick “Whatever Works”), was on hand for a Saturday-night house party to celebrate the area’s first truly green remodeled show home for HGTV’s “My Big Amazing Renovation” and MGCTV’s “MyGreenCottage.”

“I’m very excited about this project,” Mr. Begley says. “Not only does the home showcase the very latest in green technology, but it also shows how stunning green decor can be.”

The brick Colonial features eco-friendly cabinetry, flooring, window treatments and recycled glass countertops as well as custom wall treatments — with plasters and murals — found throughout the home.

Mr. Begley, host of “Living With Ed” on HGTV, told G2 that he became an environmentalist in 1970 due to the heavy “smog” in his home base of Los Angeles. Since then, he has championed green causes and says that after nearly 40 years of advocacy, his next objective is to make the public realize just how easy and cost effective building an eco-friendly home can be.

Mr. Begley also said that even the movie industry is making progress by “printing scripts on recycled paper.”

Proceeds from Saturday’s house party went to the Earth Day Network, a local nonprofit that’s already planning a star-studded birthday party for Earth Day — which will celebrate its big 4-0 next April.

Wilson watch

While Mr. Begley relaxed in the Virginia burbs, his thespian colleague Owen Wilson (2005’s “Wedding Crashers” and, most recently, “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian”) was painting the town red in Georgetown.

We caught up with Mr. Wilson at the popular M Street nightclub L2, where he arrived after 11 p.m. with a male companion and stayed to sip cocktails until the wee hours of the morning.

The actor was surrounded by a bevy of blondes and curious club patrons, but remained seated the entire time, apparently unnerved by the thick club crowd.

“He’s been coming in a lot, but wants to be left alone,” a club employee told us.

Our sources say Mr. Wilson is staying on the fourth floor of the nearby Four Seasons Hotel while he’s in the city shooting “How Do You Know?” with Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon.

On a related tip, we also hear that the film has scheduled night-time shootings (Tuesday in Adams Morgan, Wednesday in Georgetown on and downtown on Thursday, Friday and Saturday), so be on the lookout for star sightings.
