TODAY’S GAMES AT COMCAST CENTER

[9] Utah (22-9) vs. [8] Villanova (19-13)

When: Noon

TV: ESPN2

Outlook: The Mountain West champion Utes are led by senior Morgan Warburton, who averages 18.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists. The Wildcats earned an at-large berth for their first NCAA appearance since 2004. First-team All-Big East selection Laura Kurz averages 17.6 points and 7.3 rebounds.

[16] Dartmouth (18-10) at [1] Maryland (28-4)

When: Approx. 2:30 p.m.

TV: ESPN

Outlook: Maryland coach Brenda Frese referred to this game as a “battle of wills.” If the Big Green have a chance at the upset, they will have to force their preferred halfcourt tempo and keep the Terrapins in check in transition. Dartmouth has Ivy League player of the year Brittney Smith, but the talent of Kristi Toliver, Marissa Coleman and Co. is likely too much to overcome.
