UP-DOWNS
JIM ZORN [down]
How can he survive after this latest debacle?
TODD COLLINS [side]
One nice pass but little else - then again, maybe it’s not the QB
CBS [side]
It loses game broadcast, but was it a blessing?
PLAYER OF THE GAME
MATT CASSEL
Under constant pressure, the young Chiefs quarterback protected the ball, kept his cool and did just enough (18-for-33, 186 yards) to lead his team to its first win of the season.
PLAY OF THE GAME
Score: Kansas City 6, Washington 6
Quarter: Fourth, 3:36 remaining
Situation: Chiefs’ ball, fourth-and-12 on the Washington 27
The play: After a punt and personal foul penalty against the Redskins gave the Chiefs the ball on the Washington 36, Ryan Succop kicked his third field goal of the game, this one from 46 yards out, to break the tie.
UP NEXT
Philadelphia Eagles (3-2) at Washington Redskins (2-4)
When: Monday, Oct 26, 8:30 p.m.
Where: FedEx Field
TV/radio: ESPN, Ch. 20, ESPN 980
Outlook: After losing to Kansas City 14-6 at home Sunday, coach Jim Zorn gave up his playcalling duties. The big question is who the quarterback will be. Starter Jason Campbell was benched at halftime for Todd Collins, but except for a long completion to Santana Moss, Collins also failed to move the Redskins’ dormant offense. The Eagles, meanwhile, have problems of their own after losing to Oakland, considered one of the worst teams in the league.
