ANALYSIS/OPINION:

While airing the opinions of Gen. Stanley McChrystal and his aides toward the White House may have shown poor judgment (“McChrystal resigns Afghan command,” Page 1, Thursday), the general never refused to carry out his orders. In contrast, Obama refuses to execute his most fundamental constitutional duty – that of defending the borders of the U.S. (unless, that is, Republicans support his latest “reform” package).  Seems like when it comes to indignation over irresponsibility, our president is a bit hypocritical.
