AMES, IOWA (AP) - Iowa State says doctors have confirmed that senior quarterback Austen Arnaud’s college career is finished.
Arnaud suffered a major knee injury in last week’s loss to Colorado and will need total reconstruction of his left knee.
Arnaud was a three-year starter for the Cyclones. He is Iowa State’s career leader in completion percentage and ranks second with 6,777 passing yards and 42 touchdown passes.
The Cyclones (5-6, 3-4 Big 12) host No. 15 Missouri (8-2, 4-2) on Saturday, needing a win to become bowl eligible. Backup quarterback Jerome Tiller will start for Iowa State.
