Richmond American Homes is building 69 single-family homes on quarter-acre homesites at Saint Charles in St. Charles, a planned community with a swimming pool, a clubhouse, tennis courts and walking trails near St. Charles Town Center shopping mall, golf courses and the Blue Claws Stadium.

Each home in this Charles County community will include low-maintenance vinyl siding, raised-panel shutters, professional landscaping and a two-car garage. Brick or stone fronts and three-car garages are optional.

Inside, all six models feature three or four bedrooms; 2½ baths; hardwood flooring in the foyer; 9-foot ceilings on the main level; 42-inch cabinets, stainless steel appliances and recessed lighting in the kitchen; oak cabinets with cultured-marble countertops in the baths; a high-tech structured wiring system; a rough-in for a lower-level bath; a programmable thermostat; and gas heat and hot water.

The homes have 1,992 to 2,736 finished square feet, with base prices from $289,990 to $334,990. Homeowner association fees are approximately $50 to $60 per month.

The Alison model, with 2,168 square feet, is priced from $294,990. This home features a front porch leading into the foyer. To the left of the foyer is the living room, which has a double window and can be converted to use as a study or bedroom. Adjacent to the living room is a powder room.

At the center of this home is a staircase leading to the upper and lower levels. Across the back of the home are an open two-story family room, a breakfast area and a kitchen.

Upstairs, the master suite has a walk-in closet and a private bath. Three more bedrooms, a second full bath and a laundry room complete this level.

Options include finished lower levels, room extensions, lofts, fireplaces, kitchen islands, luxury baths, extra bedrooms, extra baths and coffered ceilings.
