Montgomery County Police arrested a Silver Spring man who they believe shot at least three people with a pellet gun fired from his apartment window.

Police on Saturday arrested 20-year-old Omar Barnes at his home in the 8000 block of 13th Street in Silver Spring, after receiving a report of shots fired from the building.

Police arrested Mr. Barnes after an officer said he observed him pointing a gun from an apartment window.

It was the third time since March that officers had been called to the area for such an incident, and they think Mr. Barnes is the suspect in all three shootings.

Mr. Barnes has been charged with three counts each of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

He is being held on $75,000 bond, according to court records.
