BEIRUT (AP) — A car bomb in a Damascus suburb has killed 12 people and wounded 43, the official Syrian news agency SANA says.

Tuesday’s blast in Jaramana targeted a funeral procession for two people who were killed the previous day, the agency said. It was the third bombing in Jaramana in the past 24 hours, SANA said.

An Associated Press reporter who visited the scene shortly after the 2 p.m. blast says the bomb badly damaged a five-story building and burned at least 10 cars to charred hulks.
