One man is dead and three others injured from unrelated shootings in the District Monday night.

Police were called to the 4700 block of Brooks Street Northeast after reports of gunshots at 11:43 p.m. on Monday. A man was found suffering from a gunshot wound, D.C. police spokesman Araz Alali said. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said the investigation is continuing.

Two other shootings occurred in the District Monday night, wounding three.

A juvenile was shot in the left shoulder at 11:29 p.m. by suspects on bicycles in the 2700 block of Naylor Road Southeast. Police said the victim was shot with a handgun. He was taken to the hospital.

Two others are in the hospital with gunshot wounds after an incident that occurred on the 4800 block of Alabama Avenue Southeast at 11:20 p.m. Police reported that officers found a man and a juvenile at the scene with gunshot wounds in their legs. Both are expected to survive.

Both shootings are still under investigation.
